Coaches Poll Week 6: Another Week, Another Problem

The latest Coaches Poll for Week 6 has drawn scrutiny for a series of questionable rankings following recent college football matchups. Despite a convincing forty-five to seventeen victory against Florida, Missouri finds itself positioned at sixteenth, while the Gators sit just ahead at fifteenth and Mississippi State languishes further down at twentieth after falling to Alabama.

Meanwhile, the upper tier of the top twenty-five remains largely static, but significant shifts occurred elsewhere as teams like Tennessee climbed to fourteenth and both Kentucky and Pitt broke into the top tier. Conversely, Florida suffered a steep seven-spot drop, Iowa slipped four spots following a defeat to Ohio State, and programs like Michigan and Penn State failed to secure a single vote.
