Head coach Stephanie White shared that the Indiana Fever locker room carried heavy hearts following a season-ending injury to reserve guard Tyasha Harris. Harris fractured the fibula in her left leg during the third quarter of a recent matchup against the Minnesota Lynx, which ended in an 86-66 defeat for Indiana.
As the squad prepares to begin its postseason journey against the Las Vegas Aces, White acknowledged the severe void left by Harris both vocally and on the court. To address the absence, White expressed confidence in rookie Raven Johnson to step into an expanded role after logging quality playing time in recent contests.
The opening game of the playoff series is scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
