Clemson Poses Different Type of Challenge for Darian Mensah

Top-ranked Miami quarterback Darian Mensah enters this Saturday's critical ACC showdown facing his toughest defensive test yet against the Clemson Tigers. Mensah has led the nation's premier offense through four games by throwing for 1,211 yards, fourteen touchdowns, and zero interceptions while completing nearly eighty-nine percent of his passes alongside targets like Malachi Toney.

However, the Hurricanes have yet to encounter a challenging opponent after securing victories over Stanford, Florida A&M, Wake Forest, and Central Michigan.

Meanwhile, Clemson aims to disrupt that momentum behind a formidable defense that has kept opponents scoreless on offense across the past six quarters. The Tigers feature standout contributors in the secondary such as Ashton Hampton, Elliot Washington II, Corey Myrick, and Jerome Carter III, alongside front-seven defenders Will Heldt and Sammy Brown.

While Miami enters as substantial 17.5-point road favorites, Clemson hopes to pressure freshman quarterback Tait Reynolds and challenge Mensah inside a hostile environment at Memorial Stadium.
