Clemson Has a Sleeper NFL Draft Prospect Whose Stock is Rising

Clemson cornerback Elliot Washington II is quickly making a name for himself after transferring from Penn State. Analyst Mel Kiper Jr.

recently highlighted the senior defender as a potential Day 2 selection in the upcoming draft, noting high praise from former coach James Franklin. Through four contests, Washington has accumulated 13 tackles, three interceptions, a forced fumble, and three passes defended, punctuated by a two-interception performance against California.

Meanwhile, the Tigers have recovered from an opening-week setback against LSU by winning three straight contests. The team now prepares to host Miami at Death Valley this Saturday, where Washington and teammate Ashton Hampton will attempt to slow down a prolific Hurricanes offense led by quarterback Darian Mensah.
