Clark, who joined Victoria Park during the summer following a brief stint concluding the prior campaign at Rotherham United, faced vocal calls from the stands for his dismissal as the side's struggles persisted. The former midfielder, whose playing career featured Sunderland, Fulham, and Newcastle, expressed regret that his ambition to revitalize the club fell short despite past managerial tenures guiding Birmingham City and Huddersfield Town.
