Cincinnati Reds vs. Toronto Blue Jays – Brandon Williamson vs. Max Scherzer

The Cincinnati Reds conclude their regular schedule following eighty-six defeats, securing the bottom spot in the National League Central standings and missing out on the postseason entirely. Their final opponent of the year, the Toronto Blue Jays, also faces an early elimination despite nearing championship contention during the previous campaign.

Max Scherzer takes the mound for Toronto in what could potentially be his final career appearance, standing just behind former teammate Justin Verlander on the all-time strikeout leaderboard. Left-handed pitcher Brandon Williamson starts for Cincinnati as Sal Stewart pursues both an eight-hundreds season OPS and the Major League Baseball runs batted in lead during this final matchup.
