New England will head to Orchard Park this weekend without two key defensive contributors. During his Friday media availability, head coach Mike Vrabel announced that cornerback Christian Gonzalez and defensive tackle Christian Barmore will not play in Week 4 due to ongoing shoulder problems that prevented them from participating in practice sessions.
Gonzalez contributed eight tackles and five pass breakups over the initial three games, opening the door for Charles Woods to step into the starting lineup against Buffalo. Meanwhile, Barmore accumulated four tackles, a single sack, and three quarterback hits prior to the injury, leaving Milton Williams, Cory Durden, and Joshua Farmer to absorb heavier workloads along the interior line.
