Christian Benford leaves Bills game against Chargers with injury

During the Week 3 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, Buffalo Bills cornerback Christian Benford exited the contest due to a toe issue. Before his departure, the defender recorded three tackles alongside one pass defended.

David Igbinosun took over his spot on the field, quickly registering a pass breakup following his insertion.

With Benford listed as questionable to return, Buffalo faces emerging depth concerns at cornerback. Backup slot option Jordan Hancock was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week, prompting the franchise to promote Te’Cory Couch from the practice squad.

Should further injuries strike on the boundary, Dee Alford is projected to shift outside.
