Chiefs News: Ex-Chiefs left tackle released this week

The unexpected roster decision came merely two days prior to kicking off the regular season. An eighty-seven million dollar former first-round selection and Pro Bowler, Humphries previously served as a backup lineman for Washington.

The departure marks another transition for Humphries, who earlier logged time at left tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs and was on the field during their January 26, 2025 AFC Championship victory over the Buffalo Bills at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Following his late release right before Week 1, the veteran offensive lineman enters the market as an available option for other clubs seeking depth, including the Cincinnati Bengals.
