Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones addressed the team media on Thursday regarding their low sack total of four through the opening three games. Jones noted that opposing quarterbacks are releasing the football in an average of 2.3 seconds, which makes recording sacks exceedingly difficult.
Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo added that his front seven needs to improve performance on first and second down to prevent opponents from extending plays. In other team news, running back Kenneth Walker III credited head coach Andy Reid for expanding his role in the passing attack.
