Chiefs elevate 2 practice squad players for Week 3

Ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Miami Dolphins, the Kansas City franchise brought up defensive end Tyreke Smith and linebacker Cole Christiansen directly from the practice squad. Both athletes will revert to their developmental group immediately following Sunday's competition at Allegiant Stadium.

With just four linebackers currently holding spots on the standard 53-man roster, Christiansen's promotion was anticipated after his heavy special teams usage the previous week. Meanwhile, Smith seeks his first game action with the organization after arriving via waivers following his initial stint with Seattle and a subsequent year on the Kansas City developmental squad.
