Chauncey Golston is under-sized, but plays big role on Giants’ defensive line

New York Giants defensive lineman Chauncey Golston continues to carve out a significant assignment in the trenches despite giving up size at his position. His presence remains key as coordinator Dennard Wilson shapes a versatile front line that relies on moving pieces and collective commitment leading into their upcoming clash against the Los Angeles Rams.

To complement Golston and shore up the interior resistance before heading out to face the Rams, New York also acquired veteran defensive tackle Josh Tupou. The unit is working to tighten up after their opening victory, while offensive linemen Andrew Thomas and Francis Mauigoa dealt with practice limitations ahead of the road test.
