Canyon-SRAM has secured Georgia Baker for the 2027 season, marking the team's third new acquisition. The 32-year-old Australian, who previously competed for Liv-AlUla-Jayco, brings extensive experience from both track and road disciplines, including a world championship title in team pursuit and a Commonwealth Games road race victory.
She will join the German squad alongside new teammates Jasmin Liechti and Steffi Häberlin, while Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney, Maike van der Duin, and the retiring Tiffany Cromwell are set to exit the roster. Performance director Dan Fleeman highlighted that Baker's versatility will be utilized in both sprint lead-outs and the Classics, where she has previously secured multiple top-five finishes.
Baker expressed enthusiasm for the transition, noting her desire to contribute to the team's success while pursuing new personal goals.
