UEC European Championships: Italy triumph in junior mixed relay TTT

Italy claimed the gold medal in the junior mixed team relay at the continental championships held in Slovenia on Tuesday. The victorious squad completed the forty-four kilometer course in one hour, seven minutes, and twenty-two seconds, outpacing Poland and Switzerland.

The competitors navigated a twenty-two kilometer circuit twice, featuring a testing two-kilometer ascent to Mozanca. Enrico Balliana, Brandon Fedrizzi, Patrik Pezzo Rosola, Azzurra Ballan, Eisa Bianchi, and Matilde Rossignoli made up the winning Italian roster.

Luxembourg initially led the standings after the opening tranche despite fielding only two female competitors, but the Italian squad secured victory by a twenty-three-second margin over the runners-up.
