Cam Skattebo: I try to fight for extra yards, it bit me on Sunday

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo admitted that his aggressive style backfired during Sunday's overtime contest against the Washington Commanders. Skattebo lost a fumble in field goal range late in the extra period after a defensive punch from Daron Payne.

Although Washington failed to capitalize following a bizarre sequence involving Jayden Daniels and head coach Dan Quinn that let time expire before a potential game-winning kick, Skattebo shouldered the blame for the near-costly turnover. Dominic Zvada also struggled by missing three field goals during the matchup, but the running back acknowledged that prioritizing extra yardage over ball security nearly handed the opposition a victory.
