Cam Schlittler and Ben Rice, two stars with Boston roots, lead Yankees to statement win over the rival Red Sox

Cam Schlittler delivered a stellar pitching performance and Ben Rice powered the offense as the New York Yankees secured a commanding nine to zero victory over the Boston Red Sox in the opening game of their postseason series. Schlittler dominated over six and a third innings, allowing just two hits while striking out ten batters and utilizing an aggressive curveball mix.

Rice contributed significantly at the plate by collecting four hits, including a pair of home runs, and driving in six runs to help put his squad one win away from advancing.
