Caleb Williams plans to defy NFL: Bears QB to stick with unapproved cleat also worn by former Super Bowl MVP

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has incurred a financial penalty of $11,941 following a Week 6 victory against the Atlanta Falcons due to footwear featuring an unapproved logo. League regulations currently restrict game-day branding strictly to Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour, yet Williams continues to wear his preferred footwear from Caddix because he believes the scientific SmartStuds design reduces joint and tendon tension to protect his physical health.

Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco has also stated his intention to cover any subsequent financial penalties issued to Williams for maintaining this footwear choice.
