Bucs elevate QB Easton Stick from practice squad

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have promoted linebacker Caden Fordham and quarterback Easton Stick from the practice squad ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Green Bay Packers. This marks the initial promotion for both athletes since joining the organization.

Stick is slated to act as the primary substitute for rookie signal-caller Jalon Daniels, who prepares for his first career start in the absence of Baker Mayfield. Mayfield is sidelined for a minimum of three weeks due to a dislocated thumb on his throwing hand.

Stick originally joined the practice roster in late August. Meanwhile, Fordham initially secured a spot on the initial fifty-three man roster as an undrafted rookie in May before being released in early September following a waiver claim, subsequently returning to the practice squad.
