Bronny James adjusts to Lakers' life without LeBron: 'Feels like he's not here'

Entering his third professional campaign, Bronny James addressed reporters during the team's media event on Monday, September 28, 2026, noting that the atmosphere feels different now that his father is no longer on the roster. Following the departure of LeBron James to the Philadelphia 76ers in free agency, the younger guard is preparing to carve out an independent identity on the court.

During the offseason, the twenty-one-year-old has focused heavily on improving his playmaking and dribbling skills to fit into head coach JJ Redick's revised tactical scheme. Alongside new teammates like Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, James participated in a recent team trip to Slovenia, where bonding and practice sessions helped solidify chemistry ahead of the upcoming fixtures.
