Broncos seem to be nervous about a potential Drew Brees tampering case

According to an ESPN dispatch released on Monday by Adam Schefter, the Denver Broncos held discussions with veteran passer Drew Brees regarding a potential roster addition ahead of their AFC Championship matchup.

However, the proposed acquisition could not legally take place due to contractual constraints. Denver's approach failed to account for Brees remaining tied to the New Orleans Saints via their reserve-retired roster designation, which prohibited him from signing elsewhere.
