Coco Gauff will return to the USA’s Billie Jean King Cup team for a high-stakes qualifier at the Delray Beach Tennis Center on November 21–22, marking her first appearance in the competition since 2023. The 22-year-old star, who has been linked to the team’s preparations since August, will help the U.S.
face Hungary in a best-of-five series to secure a spot in the 2027 Finals. Gauff’s inclusion comes as the team seeks redemption after missing the 2026 Finals despite its depth of talent, with the match serving as a crucial step toward rebuilding momentum.
The lineup will be finalized on October 21, with speculation lingering over whether Venus and Serena Williams—who recently played doubles at the U.S. Open—could join the squad, though their participation remains uncertain.
Gauff, a two-time Grand Slam champion, has shown strong late-season form, reaching the U.S. Open semifinals in September and winning the WTA Cincinnati title earlier that month.
Meanwhile, she will also compete in the newly revived World Team Tennis league as part of the Florida Flamingos, adding another layer to her busy schedule ahead of the qualifier. The U.S.
holds a perfect 4-0 record at Delray Beach in Billie Jean King Cup history, with Gauff and Jessica Pegula leading a dominant performance against Austria in 2023. Tickets for the two-day event go on sale October 7, with single-day passes following shortly after.
