Braves’ offense can’t pick up bullpen in Game 1 loss

Atlanta dropped the opening matchup of the National League Division Series after a bullpen meltdown surrendered a five-run advantage to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Despite strong early relief work from Dylan Dodd, the Braves fell behind following home runs from Teoscar Hernandez, Kyle Tucker, and Max Muncy.

Sean Murphy provided the lone offensive spark for Atlanta by hitting a solo home run off starting pitcher Tarik Skubal in the sixth inning, but the visitors could not muster any further offense down the stretch.
