Brandon Young was one of the best stories of the year

After struggling significantly during his rookie campaign, Baltimore Orioles pitcher Brandon Young rebounded into a dependable mid-rotation starter for the club during the 2026 season. Capitalizing on opportunities created by injuries to teammates like Zach Eflin and Dean Kremer, Young logged twenty-eight starts and pitched over 156 innings while maintaining a 3.56 ERA.

This starkly contrasts with his difficult 2025 season, which included a near-perfect game thwarted by Ramon Urias before injuries cut his year short.
