Bradish to undergo sports hernia surgery after ending '26 on IL

Baltimore starting pitcher Kyle Bradish is scheduled to undergo an abdominal procedure in Philadelphia on Tuesday following an abbreviated conclusion to his campaign. Team executive Mike Elias indicated that the right-hander dealt with physical discomfort during his final three outings before being shut down on September 13.

Bradish finished his initial full campaign since previous elbow reconstruction with a 4.12 ERA across 155 frames over 29 appearances. The organization recently locked up the veteran hurler through a long-term commitment in July, positioning him alongside teammate Shane Baz as a core piece of the pitching staff.
