Bolton inflict first home defeat on Wolves

Wolves suffered their first home defeat in the Championship this season after a hard-fought 3-1 loss to Bolton at Molineux. The visitors took the lead in the 28th minute when Atsuki Ito capitalized on a defensive error, firing home from 10 yards after Jose Sa’s misjudged clearance.

Wolves equalized just before halftime through Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, who converted a composed finish following a well-worked build-up. However, Bolton’s late surge proved decisive as substitute Sam Dalby and Josh Sheehan scored in the final 20 minutes to secure the win, extending their away form with back-to-back victories.

Wolves’ attacking threats, including Samuel Iling-Junior and Mateus Mane, were stifled by Bolton’s defense, with key chances falling just wide or blocked by Sa. The defeat leaves Wolves searching for consistency at home, while Bolton’s resilience under Steven Schumacher continues to impress in the lower tiers.
