Man Utd beaten by Atletico as Yoro controversially sent off

Michael Carrick faced a difficult outing as Manchester United fell 2-0 to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. The hosts took an immediate lead through Pablo Barrios in the opening minute, and Ademola Lookman later secured the result following a controversial red card issued to Leny Yoro for a challenge on Jonathan David.

Although an earlier effort from Johnny Cardoso was ruled out for a handball by Marcos Llorente, United struggled to respond despite attempts from Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo. The defeat leaves United winless in five matches across all competitions as pressure mounts on their manager.
