Bill Croskey-Merritt among five Washington Commanders players vital to beating Colts in London

The Washington Commanders are preparing to level their record in an upcoming overseas contest against the Indianapolis Colts while relying on backup signal-caller Marcus Mariota. With Jayden Daniels sidelined due to a left elbow dislocation and top wide receiver Terry McLaurin doubtful because of a hamstring issue reported by Ben Standig, the team looks toward several key contributors to secure a victory.

Running back Bill Croskey-Merritt must shoulder a heavier load in the absence of Rachaad White against an Indianapolis run defense that surrenders over 129 yards per contest. Veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs is positioned to step into a primary receiving role after generating three touchdowns across his first three appearances, while linebacker Frankie Luvu makes his anticipated return from a groin injury to anchor the defense alongside rookie Sonny Styles.
