Bears OT Braxton Jones lands on injured reserve

Chicago has made a significant roster adjustment ahead of its upcoming matchup with the Jets. Offensive tackle Braxton Jones has officially been shifted to the injured list following a knee issue that kept him off the practice field on Friday.

To compensate for his absence, coaching staff intend to insert Theo Benedet into the starting lineup at left tackle for Sunday. Additionally, Ozzy Trapilo remains an option as he continues recovering from previous knee surgery.

The franchise also called up Marcus Davenport and Nick McCloud from the practice squad for temporary roster depth this weekend.
