Baylor's NIL Spending Has Bolstered Key Areas - But Success Isn't Guaranteed

During his media session at Big 12 Conference Football Media Days, Baylor head coach Dave Aranda addressed how financial investments impact team results. Speaking at The Star in Frisco and later at McLane Stadium in Waco during a matchup against the Colorado Buffaloes, the coach noted that significant funds have been directed toward the offense over the past two seasons and are currently being allocated to the defense.

While financial backing provides a foundation, Aranda emphasized that spending does not guarantee victory or prevent poor performances, pointing out that Baylor operates on a budget of roughly $19 million compared to top-ranked programs spending upward of $30 million to $50 million.
