Pakistan middle-order batsman Saud Shakeel believes that opposing teams are figuring out mystery spinner Usman Tariq. According to Shakeel, rival hitters have learned to anticipate Tariq's deliveries, meaning the bowler must adapt his strategies to maintain his success in top-tier matches.
Tariq initially burst onto the international scene in late 2025 and subsequently featured in franchise tournaments such as the Pakistan Super League, The Hundred, and the Caribbean Premier League. During his stint with the Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean competition, the slow bowler claimed ten wickets across nine appearances with an economy rate of 6.26.
Across nine international Twenty20 fixtures, he has accumulated 18 wickets, highlighted by a four-wicket performance against Namibia during the 2026 global tournament.
