Seventeen-year-old Blake Cattle made history during an Under-19 Test match by becoming the first Australian player to score centuries in both innings, though his team ultimately suffered a defeat against India. Playing at number five, Cattle compiled scores of 102 and 123 in Rajkot, rescuing his side from early batting collapses on both occasions alongside teammates Zed Hollick and Connor Gregory.
India secured a dominant victory through strong individual performances from Ishan Om and Yashbardhan Chauhan with the ball, while Lakshya Raichandani starred with a massive 240-run innings. Despite Cattle standing nearly alone to resist the hosts throughout the fixture, the visiting Australian lineup was fully dismissed for 217 and 229 across the two innings.
