The franchise asserted that they warned league officials about overlapping dates two months prior, only for their cautions to be disregarded because leadership allegedly doubted the team would reach the championship series.

After previously acquiring Angel Reese in the offseason following years of first-round playoff exits, the 30-14 squad advanced through the bracket and expressed disappointment that the historic matchup cannot take place on a premier time slot.
