Following a winless beginning to the Women's Super League campaign, Aston Villa has parted ways with manager Natalia Arroyo. The decision follows a heavy four-goal defeat to Tottenham, leaving the club struggling with two draws and two losses in their opening four fixtures.
Arroyo, who took charge in January 2025 and had two years remaining on her agreement, is the initial managerial departure of the current campaign. Brian Sorensen, currently serving as the women's technical advisor and previously managing Everton, steps in as interim leader while the squad prepares for a League Cup fixture against Newcastle.
