The Asian Tour has postponed its season finale, the PIF Saudi International, originally scheduled for November 18–21 at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia. The decision follows logistical challenges tied to regional instability, with no new date or location announced.
Cho Minn Thant, the Asian Tour’s commissioner and CEO, emphasized the event’s significance, calling it a key fixture on the calendar and expressing hope for its future return in Riyadh. Meanwhile, the DP World Tour’s playoffs in the UAE remain on track, with the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship set to begin November 5 at Yas Links Golf Club in Abu Dhabi and the final playoff event, the DP World Tour Championship, scheduled for November 12 at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai.
A DP World Tour spokesperson confirmed the events would proceed as planned, though they continue to assess travel advisories. Matt Fitzpatrick, the defending champion and new father, had previously voiced concerns about traveling to the Middle East but recently confirmed his participation in the playoffs.
At the DP World India Championship, lightning delays forced a five-hour postponement, leaving Eugenio Chacarra five under par after an opening round and leading the Race to Dubai standings by three shots over Rory McIlroy, who finished three back.
