Formula 1 newcomer Arvid Lindblad earned widespread admiration from supporters following a post-race apology issued in the media pen regarding his collision with colleague Liam Lawson during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Both drivers had been fighting to secure a double-points finish for their squad in Baku prior to a late safety car period that sparked midfield pandemonium.

As the cars accelerated toward the first corner following the restart, Lindblad experienced a brake lockup and inadvertently crashed into his teammate.
