Arunachal Pradesh has finalized its squad for the next three fixtures in the Ranji Trophy, following a turbulent start to the domestic season. The team forfeited its opening match against Nagaland and missed several other games across age-group tournaments due to an ongoing legal dispute between factions of the Arunachal Cricket Association (ACA), which is currently before the Guwahati High Court.
Despite the setbacks, the state has named a 15-member squad for its upcoming matches against Sikkim, Manipur, and Mizoram, with Neelam Obi appointed as captain and Kamsha Yangfo as his deputy. The BCCI intervened to prevent further forfeitures, organizing selection trials to stabilize the team’s participation in the ongoing season.
The squad includes a mix of experienced and emerging players, with names like Nabam Kama, Licha Jhon, and Myendung Singpo leading the batting lineup. The announcement comes as Arunachal Pradesh looks to rebuild momentum after a challenging beginning, with the team now focused on regaining its footing in the Ranji Trophy and the CK Nayudu Trophy.
