The Catalan duo of Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero have cemented their status as the standout pair in women’s Premier Padel, extending their recent dominance with back-to-back titles and a commanding performance in Düsseldorf. After overcoming a stretch of inconsistent results, the Reus-based Sánchez and Barcelona’s Ustero have tightened their grip on the rankings, now facing off against the world’s top-ranked team, Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea, in the semifinals of the Germany P2.
Their path to the final included a dominant 6-1, 6-1 win over Alejandra Salazar and Aranza Osoro in the quarterfinals, where they dictated an aggressive pace despite playing indoors—a surface that favored their opponents’ style. Meanwhile, Triay and Brea secured their spot with a similarly decisive 6-3, 6-1 victory over Claudia Jensen and Noa Cánovas, following a grueling win in the previous round against Marta Barrera and Jana Montes.
The rematch sets up a high-stakes clash, with both teams vying for supremacy in the final stretch of the season.
Elsewhere in the tournament, Paula Josemaría and Bea González will meet Claudia Fernández and Martina Calvo in another semifinal rematch, reenacting their recent showdown in Rotterdam. Josemaría and González advanced with authority, defeating Marina Guinart and Alejandra Alonso 6-0, 6-1, while Fernández and Calvo overpowered Marta Ortega and Sofía Araújo 6-0, 6-3 to reach their sixth consecutive semifinal appearance.
