Are Florida’s CFP dreams dashed after brutal loss to Missouri?

Florida suffered a severe setback in its playoff pursuit after dropping to four wins and one loss overall following a 45-17 defeat against Missouri on October third. Playing without injured wide receiver Vernell Brown III, the Gators managed only 42 rushing yards as Jadan Baugh was restricted to 13 yards on 12 attempts.

Conversely, Missouri dominated statistically behind quarterback Austin Simmons, who threw for 340 yards and two scores, and running back Jamal Roberts, who accumulated 211 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Head coach Jon Sumrall now faces the task of regrouping his locker room, while the team's postseason ambitions hang in the balance under the 12-team format.
