Anvay Dravid flips the family script, Aryavir Sehwag starts at the top as India U19 beat carries famous echoes

Two decades after their fathers starred alongside each other for the national side, Anvay Dravid and Aryavir Sehwag shared an India scorecard during the opening match of an unofficial Under-19 one-day series against Australia at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. In a rain-affected fixture curtailed to 20 overs per side, India posted 182 for 6.

1 overs with skipper Lakshya Rajesh Raichandani, who made 15 off 15 balls, while Aryavir himself compiled a 26-ball 28 featuring five boundaries. The 18-year-old previously drew notice by racking up 297 runs for Delhi against Meghalaya in the Cooch Behar competition.

Batting down at number six, 17-year-old wicketkeeper Anvay delivered a contrasting, fast-paced cameo of 38 runs off 18 deliveries, hitting two fours and three sixes. He joined Yashbardhan Chauhan to put together a 69-run alliance in just 34 balls to help India surge late in the innings.

The aggressive display followed Anvay's earlier Under-19 trip to Sri Lanka, where he notched 14 on his youth one-day debut before blasting an 87 off 67 deliveries with nine fours and a six in Hambantota.
