Auburn’s Anna Davis delivered a dominant performance to claim the inaugural Haskins Intercollegiate title at the Country Club of Columbus, securing her seventh collegiate victory with a bogey-free 66. The senior golfer led by four shots entering the final hole and capitalized with a clutch 3-foot birdie on the second-hardest course of the day, ultimately winning by five strokes over Pepperdine’s Eunseo Choi.
Beyond her individual triumph, Davis anchored Auburn’s team to its first win of the season, as the Tigers finished 30 shots ahead of LSU at 24 under par. The victory underscored Davis’s relentless competitiveness, a trait that has defined her career since her 2021 Augusta National Women’s Amateur win at age 16.
Coach Melissa Luellen praised Davis’s preparation and mental resilience, noting her ability to remain composed under pressure despite the elevated difficulty of the course’s pins this week. Auburn’s success extended beyond Davis, with teammates like Molly Davidson and Gia Raad also contributing strong rounds, finishing tied for fourth and fourth overall, respectively.
The inaugural event, organized by the Haskins Foundation, marked a standout debut for the tournament, which will now serve as a key stop on the collegiate golf calendar.
