Angel Reese Helps Atlanta Dream Star Allisha Gray Avoid Potential WNBA Punishment

The Atlanta Dream advanced past the opening round of the postseason following a dominant series sweep against the Washington Mystics, concluding with a 93-75 triumph in the second contest. Allisha Gray spearheaded the effort with 22 points, three assists, and four steals, while Jordin Canada notched 19 points alongside 11 assists and seven rebounds, and Angel Reese contributed 15 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks.

During the final period, tensions flared when Sonia Citron pushed Gray, prompting an immediate intervention from Reese who stepped in to physically restrain her teammate and prevent a potential ejection or escalation. Referees previously handed Reese a technical infraction earlier in the match, while the squad now prepares to square off against the New York Liberty in the upcoming semifinal round.
