Following a hard-fought defeat in the deciding game of the championship series, Angel Reese expressed satisfaction with her performance despite falling short of the title. The Golden State Valkyries captured the victory by a score of 68 to 63, propelled by a stellar 30-point display from Gabby Williams, while Atlanta struggled offensively with Jordin Canada contributing 18 points and Allisha Gray adding 16.
Reese herself recorded eight points and twelve rebounds during the contest.
Throughout her first year with Atlanta, Reese stepped up significantly while playing out of position due to Brionna Jones's prolonged absence from a knee injury. Alongside teammates Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray, Reese developed her perimeter shooting and earned Defensive Player of the Year honors while also setting a new benchmark for single-postseason rebounds.
