An early look at the Yankees’ ALDS roster: Who makes the cut?

New York manager Aaron Boone addressed reporters during a recent workout to discuss roster decisions ahead of the American League Division Series. While the team captain remains a game-time decision due to a lingering injury, the skipper anticipates that Ryan Weathers will be ready to contribute following his lengthy stint on the injured list.

Gerrit Cole will take the mound for the opening contest, returning to postseason action after missing the previous year due to surgery. Cam Schlittler is slated for the second game following a stellar performance in the prior round, with Max Fried and Carlos Rodón also factoring into the upcoming pitching plans.
