Alonso hits 300th HR to tie game in 9th, gets curtain call at Citi Field

Pete Alonso reached a major career milestone on Tuesday night by crushing his 300th regular-season blast during ninth-inning play. The dramatic hit knotted the score against the club he previously played for and brought him out of the dugout for an appreciative ovation from the crowd.

However, Baltimore secured the final edge when Coby Mayo circled the bases on an 11th-inning inside-the-park blast. That late heroics lifted the Orioles past New York in extra innings to seal a 7-5 final decision.
