Alex de Minaur has bolstered his coaching staff by bringing on Australian tennis icon Lleyton Hewitt to assist during the final stretch of the ATP season. Hewitt was observed in the player box during the China Open, where de Minaur secured a semifinal victory against Hubert Hurkacz.
The pair now prepares for a final showdown against Novak Djokovic, a formidable opponent against whom both men have historically struggled to maintain a winning record. Currently ranked ninth in the world, de Minaur is aiming to secure a spot in the season-ending ATP Finals following the withdrawal of Jannik Sinner.
Beyond his professional pursuits, the 11-time title winner recently married fellow tennis player Katie Boulter following the 2026 Wimbledon tournament.
