Alabama reportedly loses commitment from 2028 offensive lineman

Four-star prospect Anthony Blalock Jr. has backed off his pledge to the Crimson Tide.

The high-profile blocker, standing at six-foot-six and three hundred ten pounds out of Fitch High School in Austintown, Ohio, originally gave his verbal commitment in July before taking trips to see programs like Michigan and Florida recently.

Following this departure from the 2028 recruiting class, the program dropped to the number two spot nationally in the current rankings while maintaining five total pledges. Evaluators note that the talented lineman holds top ten status within his home state while sitting among the top tier of interior blockers and offensive tackles for his recruiting cycle.
