Northwestern’s Aidan Chiles delivered a dominant performance in the Wildcats’ 45-14 homecoming victory over Ball State, extending their undefeated non-conference record for the first time since 2015. Chiles completed 17 of 23 passes for 272 yards and four total touchdowns, including three through the air, while also rushing for another score.
The offense was unstoppable early, scoring touchdowns on its first three drives and covering over 75 yards on each possession, with key contributions from receivers Griffin Wilde and Drew Wagner. Wilde set a career high with eight catches for 144 yards, while Chiles maintained his perfect interception record in his Wildcat tenure.
Northwestern’s defense also made an impact, forcing a turnover on downs after Ball State’s failed fake punt, setting up a late touchdown that sealed the rout. The Wildcats now enter Big Ten play with momentum, having closed out their non-conference slate with a commanding statement win at their new Ryan Field stadium.
