After Historic Gopher Win, PJ Fleck Defended Drake Lindsey and Stood Tall vs Haters

Minnesota celebrated a massive home triumph as PJ Fleck guided the Golden Gophers to a 20-14 victory over Michigan, marking their first home win against this rival since 1977. Fleck later told reporters it ranked among the greatest days of his life outside of major family milestones.

While the Gopher defense stifled the Wolverines into a mere 180 total yards and forced two interceptions from Bryce Underwood, the Minnesota offense leaned heavily on that defensive and special teams support. Quarterback Drake Lindsey struggled to find his rhythm, throwing for 136 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in the hard-fought win.
