Aberdeen may be disciplined over fan behaviour

SPFL authorities are probing the post-game scenes and demanding answers from the Pittodrie hierarchy concerning pyrotechnic displays set off during the quarter-final fixture, with the Dons scheduled to meet Rangers at Hampden Park in the upcoming semi-finals next month.

Governing bodies are actively escalating their crackdown against improper fan conduct, with both the SPFL and the Scottish FA reviewing tougher measures across the domestic game. Flares previously caused severe disruptions at last season's League Cup semi-finals, prompting league officials to reduce Hampden ticket allocations for both Celtic and Rangers.

Furthermore, the two Glasgow rivals were recently mandated to stage their upcoming Scottish Cup home fixtures without spectators present because of disturbances that took place during and following an Ibrox quarter-final clash in March.
