A’Shawn Robinson fined for late hit on Michael Penix Jr. in Week 8
Defensive end A’Shawn Robinson was assessed a monetary penalty by the league after delivering a late hit on quarterback Michael Penix Jr. during the Week 8 matchup. The fine reflects the league’s continued emphasis on player safety and the enforcement of rules against unnecessary contact.
The incident occurred in the same game where the Falcons fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a loss that left the team winless in the contest. Robinson’s sanction adds to the post‑game disciplinary actions stemming from that defeat.
